What is a window sticker, and what is this?

Since 1958, every new car sold in the US must display a Monroney label (“window sticker”) listing its price, specifications, and standard equipment. When you buy or sell that car used years later, that information is still valuable — for showcasing the trim and options in your listing, or keeping with the car's file.

VinWindowSticker generates an independent, print-ready window sticker (seller's spec sheet) from the VIN using the public NHTSA vPIC database. It is not the official Monroney label and we are not affiliated with any manufacturer — it's a practical sales document for the real world of used-car listings.

FAQ

What is this?

A print-ready window sticker (seller's spec sheet) generated from the VIN, using the public NHTSA vPIC database.

Is this the official Monroney label / window sticker?

No. We are not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer. Our card is independently generated from public data and is not an official document.

Where does the data come from?

The NHTSA vPIC public database, decoded directly in your browser. Manufacturers publish this data to NHTSA.

Why are some fields blank while others say “Standard”?

Manufacturers publish different levels of detail, and older vehicles have less data. Blank means “not in the public spec database”, not “equipment missing”. Each card shows a data-availability score.
